I hunt it, woman starved.
Grace.
Gift of the Most High, and I know it for sure: to live full of Grace is to be joyful.
Isn't that what I'm really hunting? Joy? Oh, He knows this.
I hunt for grace and true joy. It really could mean the difference between merely existing and truly living, I think.
And ultimately, between living and dying.
Where then does this joy-grace live in my world of busy?
Because yes, I'm a mom, and I have work to do, and I have these souls to raise and to teach and to guide to Him, but really I'm just a person and I'm just seeking and searching right alongside every other soul who craves God deep down in the soul.
He speaks it softly and in the space of silence that exists sometimes only in between heartbeats.
...just open the eyes and the Word and see Me and believe...
Believe and see with the eyes-wide-open?
See Him here and now and really could this be a grace-moment too, this five minutes of space while I wait for the potatoes to finish roasting?
I dry counter and hands and I grab Bible and I hunt, because I do sort of remember that He says it there somewhere. I squint at words because glasses aren't nearby but I'm on a mission here and hunting in short time-space. And I find it - sometimes you have to look hard.
Right there, in Isaiah 45:3.
I will give you hidden treasures,
riches stored in secret places
riches stored in secret places
so that you may know that I am the Lord,
the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
I have to laugh, taking potatoes out of oven all steaming. Because I'd just known this. Known that grace of love and yes, even posted it right here.

I make the sauce for dipping those crispy wedges in, and serve hungry kids and scrub pots and pans all crusted with potato bits, and I know that I live right in the middle of grace.
In the middle of His heart.

LuAnne, this is beautiful and what a lovely printable.
